I will visit to a grave Ovon.
I don’t eat meat the 3 days Obon.
I did not know about this custom.
– [ ] Every year my family go to my husband’s hometown and visit our ancestors grave during 0bon. We should clean our tombstone and put some flowers. I t is too hot to do such a thing. I hate Obon.but I t is a Japanese custom. There is no other choice .
I hope that it is a bit cooler when you go this year. 🙂
I’m going to Nara with my family as usual. It’s my husband’s hometown.
My mother-in-law runs cafe near Todaiji temple.
Recently, many foreign tourists come there as customers.

I, Jim (aka Jamie) recently dreamt about eating my favorite food which is also my daughter’s signature dish (lasagne), so over the Obon holiday I plan to ask her to make some (with extra garlic). And I might get a haircut. See what I did there?

My family is planning to hold a Buddhist memorial service for the second anniversary of my grandmother´s death. It’s so nice to meet a lot of relatives in my house. I´m wondering I can tolerate seiza for a long time while a monk chants sutra.
