スミス英会話相模原校

相模原にある英会話スクールは市内に均等に広がっています。相模原中央区、橋本、矢部、相模大野にスクールがあります。これらほとんどの英会話スクールはJR横浜線や小田急線沿いの駅近くにあります。私がスミス英会話相模原校を開校した時、少しびっくりなことがありました。

English Schools in Sagamihara Working Together

English schools in Sagamihara are fairly spread out. They exist in Sagamihara Chuo-ku, Hashimoto, Yabe, and Sagamiono. Most of these English schools are situated close to train stations on the JR Yokohama line as well as the Odakyu line. When I opened Smith’s School of English Sagamihara I had a bit of a shock as I was moving in.

Choosing a location for my English school in Sagamihara first (I thought) required a thorough walk around the Sagamihara Station area. I was looking for a convenient and visible building that would provide one or two classrooms. I came across this building and noticed that the third floor room was vacant. I then notified Smith’s School of English Head Office and they went to work for me; setting up appointments, viewing the rooms, and acquiring the new location. They really made it easy for me.

And then,one day in December as I was moving in, I glanced out the window and noticed that directly across the street on the third floor was another English school! How could this happen? On the street level, there was no indication of an existing English school in that building. The signboard is not very visible from the street, but it is clear as can be from the third floor here at Smith’s School of English Sagamihara. Immediate worry set in, thinking I had made a big mistake.

So I did some research on English schools in Sagamihara, which is what I should have done in the first place! As it turns out, that English school specializes in kids and young English learners. I was quite relieved to find that out. Smith’s School of English Sagamihara doesn’t specialize in lessons for such young learners, however, anyone from first year Senior High School is welcome to join!

The situation has worked out very well. I have had several people walk into my English school and ask if kids were accepted. It is quite easy for me to respond with an apologetic “no” and direct them to the English school across the street. One of my English students here at Smith’s Sagamihara is a young mother with a 4-year-old daughter. She studies English conversation at Smith’s and her daughter goes across the street! It’s a “win-win.” Maybe someday her daughter will join my English school!

So the English conversation school situation in front of Sagamihara Station is perfect! It is convenient for both kids and adults, with both English schools specializing in what we do. I don’t know about the other school, but trial lessons here at Smith’s School of English are always free. Potential students receive a lesson suited to their ability, a thorough English speaking level check, and there is never any pressure to join! Come see me!
