I’ve never missed any of the classes since I first joined Smith’s Hashimoto, Sagamihara City. Jim’s classes are so attractive that I couldn’t miss any of them!

I’ve tried a couple of schools before, but this is the only school I have felt satisfied. Jim is very conscientious and his lessons are thorough. Jim’s enthusiasm and energy motivates me to speak English at the same level.

Eventually, one day I hope I can use my English at work just as energetically! I encourage you to come and join us!!!

「楽しみ！」これが、レッスン前。「楽しかった！」これがレッスン後の感想。相模原市のスミス橋本校の英会話クラスに通い始め、気付いたらもう１年になるのですが、一度も欠席したことはありません。それほど、ジム先生の授業は魅力的で「逃したらもったいない授業」なのです。ここへ来る前に数件の学校を試してみましたが、ここほど私を満足させてくれるところはありませんでした。ジム先生のレッスンは、とても丁寧です。そんな先生の熱意に負けることなく熱心に学び、英語を高いレベルまで磨けたらいいなと思います。そして、いつか英語を使ってバリバリと働きたいなと思います。ジム先生のレッスン、本当にお勧めですよ！

I traveled overseas in the old days. Then, I was talked to by foreigner.

But, I can’t speak English very well. So I was mortifying. So, I want to learn English conversation.

I began to go to the Smith’s school of English on my friend’s advice!

When I started going to this school, I mistakes speak English many times. So, I was ashamed and I can’t speak English very well.　

But!! Didn’t worry! This school’s teacher “Jim” is very kind! So, it’s fun to go to Smith’s school!!!　

Jim’s kind, atmosphere, class, all things very good! So I like this school.Now I like English conversation to Jim. He hardly listen to my talk. So I speak English without constraint.This school with homey atmosphere!! So, I like this school and teacher.

私が英会話に通うきっかけは、海外旅行に行ったときに現地の人に話しかけられて少し会話をしたのですが、自分の気持ちが上手く伝わらず悔しかったからです。友達の薦めで、スミス英会話の存在を知った私は早速レッスンを受けてみました。

始めのうちは、間違えることが恥ずかしくて自分からあまり話すことがでできませんでした。しかし、ジム先生が優しく熱心に私のことを知ろうとしてくれて段々と英会話に通うことが楽しみになっていました。

ジム先生に優しさ、雰囲気、授業の空間の全てが心地よく、今では自分の話を聞いて欲しくて、自分からたくさん話すようになりました！！まだまだ上手くしゃべれないけれど、ジム先生が一生懸命理解しようとしてくれるので安心してコミュニケーションできます。とてもアットホームな授業スタイルが私はとても気に入っています♪

I started to study English when I was an elementary school student.

English is the best subject for me from then. But while studying English in junior high school, I feel this studying is not satisfactory for me.

That is “speaking”. I can study English enough but I can’t make use of speaking.

One day, I got an advertisement of “Smith’s school of English” from Jim. And I decided to start. It have passed about 2 years from then. I became accustomed to speak English little by little. But I’m not enough to speak English so Jim gives me a lot of challenges and chances. He also makes me relax and teach me the pronunciation with a lucid explanation.

Now I always depend o Jim but I’ll keep trying in this school and I want to grow up that Jim will be surprised someday.

私は小学生の頃から英語を習い始めました。それからずっと英語は私にとって大好きなものの一つでした。しかし中学校で英語のリーディングを勉強する中で、自分の中で何か物足りなさを感じていました。それがスピーキング、話すことでした。

いくら学校の成績が良くても、それを生かすことができなかったのです。そんなときに、ジムからチラシをもらいました。

そしてスミス英会話を始めて約２年。今私は英語を話すことに徐々になれてきました。しかし自分の口から出てくる単語は少なく、まだまだだなと思っています。そんな私にジムはたくさん挑戦させてくれます。おもしろい話をして私をリラックスさせてくれたり、発音なども細かく教えてくれるのです。

今は先生に頼ってばかりですが、これからも努力を続け、ジムを驚かせるくらいになるまで、ずっとこのスミス英会話で頑張っていきたいと思います。

I study English about one year at Smith’s school. I thought studying English was difficult but I enjoy studying there.

The lesson has some free talk, games, so the lesson time goes fast.

I was nervous at my first lesson but now I can relax and enjoy myself.

Last year I went to Belgium by myself, met some kind people and spoke English. Now I am more confident. My next goal is to read English E-mail and to speak to my boss who is Swedish. I will do my best to meet these goals.

スミス英会話で勉強して約１年たちました。英会話のレッスンがこんなに楽しいとは思いませんでした。レッスン中はフリートークもあり、ゲーム感覚であっという間に時間は過ぎていきます。最初は緊張しましたが、今は楽しむ余裕もできました。

去年は一人で海外へも行きました。そこでハプニングもあり、いろいろな人との出会いもあり、かなり自信がついたと思います。次の目標は・・・仕事でくる英語のメールが読めるようになる。ボスと英語で会話する！この2つがクリアできるようこれからも頑張ります。

One year has passed since I begin to have commuted to Smith.I regret it did not meet the Jim teacher early why.I had hoped, “ I want to learn English by the one to one・・・some time”

However, there is resistance in the ticket system of a major school. So I could not start.The reason that I decided to Smith is (1)”Monthly fee system” and (2)”Thing without the text” ( I was laughed by the teacher who heard this thing)I think that we need to acquire something “ Environment to continue” and “wallet”.

Therefore, I think that “Monthly fee system” is a best method.And, above all, a welcome thing for me is that I may not have a heavy bag many text enter because I go to the lesson after work,( Of course, I have the file of my review)

Jim teacher at the Hashimoto school is very gentle and kindly. The first time, I had forgotten the English word and the English grammar. But he found the best level for me, I don’t have the knowledge of an enough word, so I can not tell it well. However, Jim makes an effort every time to understand.

My lesson is speaking about “Today’s event”, ”Recently news”, “Dream when it is young”, “Family each other” and “failure story of the travel” etc.Jim teaches me “last week’s review” and “the expression of English” in the conversation of the lesson.The lesson is near the conversation at the tea time with an friendly person rather than the lesson. So, I can learn English conversation naturally.I understand about Jim is very wonderful teacher in each lesson. I have confidence him very much. I rest the school for one year for birth. However, I make a decision to return.Now, I have a dream. It is to become a level that I can teach English conversation to my child. Interesting thing・・・,

When I return, the thing that my seat disappears is very embarrassed・・・.But, I recommend you the Jim teacher! The class of Jim is really happy!

私がスミス英会話に通い始めて1年が過ぎました。今は、なぜもっと早くにJim先生に会わなかったのかと後悔しています。

＜いつかはマンツーマンで＞英会話を習いたいと思っていましたが、大手スクールのチケット制には抵抗があり一歩を踏み出せずにいました。

私がスミス英会話に決めたのは(1)月謝制　(2)テキストが無い事です。（これを言ったら先生に笑われました・・・・）

まず何かを習得するには、継続できる環境と、その為の費用が必要だと思います。だから、この月謝のシステムが私には最良だと思っています。そして仕事帰りに通う私にとって、何よりありがたいのはテキストいっぱいの重い鞄を持たなくて良いということです。（もちろん自分の復習のファイルは持ち歩いていますよ。）

橋本校のJim先生は、とても優しくて丁寧です。最初、英単語や英文法をすっかり忘れていた私に最良のレベルを見つけてくれました。単語力の無い私は、なかなか言葉が出てこなく、うまく伝えられない事ばかりですが、Jim先生は理解してくれようと毎回頑張ってくれます。レッスンは今日の出来事や最近のニュース、幼い頃の夢やお互いの家族の話、旅行での失敗談など・・・、先生はその会話の中に先週の復習や英語ならではの言い回しを入れて教えてくれます。レッスンは勉強というより親しい人とのティータイムの会話のようです。だから自然に英語が覚えられるのです。レッスンの度にJim先生がとても素敵な先生だということが分かります。とても信頼できる先生です。

私は、出産の為1年間休校しますが、1年後必ず戻ってきます。今の夢は子供に英会話を教えられるレベルになることです。面白いことに、実を言うと、私の話を聞いた母がこの席を狙っているのです。戻ってきたときに私の席がなくなることは困りますが、私はJim先生を皆さんにお勧めしたいです。Jim先生の授業は本当に楽しいですよ！

My purpose of starting to learn English at Smith Hashimoto was to keep and improve my English knowledge. Though I am a returnee student, the less my chances to speak English , the more I lose my vocabulary and what is worse, the words won’t come out spontaneously.

Smith’s Hashimoto, Jim, was the one who helped me to solve those problems. He gives me a variety of interesting topics every time I go, and I find myself absorbed in speaking and chatting. Also, learning from the same teacher who knows my weak points has helped me improve the parts which I really wanted to improve.

I really recommend you to come and join Smith Hashimoto! Two and a half years have passed since I joined Smith’s. But I have to leave temporarily for a maternity leave. I am really looking forward to coming back again after giving birth to my child!!

私のスミス（橋本校）に通う目的は、英語力の維持と向上にありました。帰国子女とはいえ使わないとドンドン単語力が落ち、自分でも情けないほどとっさに英語が出てこなくなるのです。そんな私の悩みに応えてくれたのが、スミス橋本校のジムでした。毎度バラエティに富んだ興味深いトピックを提供してくださり、気づくと夢中になって話しています。また毎回同じ先生に教われるというのは、私の弱点を把握した上でレッスンをして頂けるということであり様々な方法で弱点克服に努めてくださっています。

本当に、スミス橋本校お勧めです！橋本校に通って早いもので2年半になります。この度、出産を控え一度お休みを頂くこととなりましたが早く復帰できる日が待ち遠しくて仕方ありません。

In Smith school, particularly there aren’t any teaching materials, for example, textbooks. The English lessons match individual level every week. I had learned English lessons before with teaching materials, but it wasn’t useful, and I didn’t feel much fun.

In Smith school, I go once a week and use cards, kinds of games, or free conversation, imagine a situation and talking with Jim about that. That is truly different every lesson. That’s why I can keep going on a lessons.

Words that I didn’t know before are increasing. And the next weeks lesson, I could do a conversation more naturally while using a new word that I learned before, so I surprised myself. My desire is to be able to have a conversation more smoothly which I should get more vocabulary.Some day I want to be able to have a conversation like a native.

スミススクールでは特に決まった教材があるわけではなく個々のレベルに合ったレッスンが毎週行われています。私が今まで習った事のある英会話レッスンは教材に沿ってやっていくものでしたが、あまり身につく事なくレッスン自体もあまり楽しいものではありませんでした。しかしスミススクールではある週はカードを使ってゲーム感覚で進められたり、自由に会話するレッスンだったり、状況をイメージしてその事について先生と話し合ったり、本当に毎回違うのであきる事なくレッスンを続けられるのです。以前知らなかった単語もどんどん増えていきます。また次の週には覚えたフレーズを使って自然に会話出来たりするので、自分でも驚きます。理想はもっとスムーズに会話出来る事ですが、一つ一つ積み重ねていつかはネイティブの様に会話出来る様になりたいです。
