トロンボーンを演奏するアマチュアのミュージシャンとして、できる限り練習をすることが大切です。英語を学び話すことととても似ています－“use it or lose it (使わないとだめになる)”。練習を続けていないと、遅れをとるテクニックを失うということが簡単におこります。

私はラッキーなことに、トロンボーンを3つ相模原校に置いていて毎日時間を見つけて練習できています－英会話レッスン前やレッスンの間、レッスンの後などです。そしてスクールがお休みの日曜日は“バンドの日”です。

Managing Practice Time While Teaching at Smith's School of English, Sagamihara

As an amateur musician, it’s important to practice as often as possible. It’s very similar to learning and speaking English-  “use it or lose it.” Without consistent practice, it is easy to fall behind and lose technique.

 I’m lucky though. Keeping one of three trombones in my school, I almost always find time for daily practice-  before classes, between classes, or after classes. And Sunday is "band day."

It is a loud instrument, but I don’t bother anybody in the building because I use the Yamaha Silent Brass System; engineered and made right here in Japan! Nobody can hear me!

 Past jobs didn’t provide the flexible working hours I have, but Smith’s School of English does-  for me and every Smith's franchise owner in Japan.  This is an especially good benefit to working with Smith’s School of English- a satisfying balance of work and “play!”
