スミス英会話相模原校、生徒様、そして私の家族がいる相模原が私のホームだと言えます。日本で英語を教えに来る多くの人はその仕事を楽しんでいますが、職場の環境があまり良くなかったりホームシックになったりして１，２年しかもちません。私が働くスミス英会話相模原校の職場環境は文句なしに素晴らしく、このエリアで暮らす家族を持てる私はとても幸運です、ですから相模原をホームと呼ぶのは自然なことです。

 Smith’s School of English, English Students, Family: Sagamihara is My Home!

Smith’s School of English Sagamihara, my English students, and family have made it very easy to say that my home is Sagamihara. Most people who decide to teach English in Japan enjoy it, but they only last a year or two because either their working conditions are not so good or they become homesick. My working conditions at Smith’s Sagamihara are top-notch, and I am very lucky to have lots of family living in the area, so yes, it’s easy to call Sagamihara my home.

My son and his family live in Machida, which is just a short ride from Sagamihara Station on the Yokohama Line. My daughter and her family also live in Sagamihara; making it easy for everyone to get together from time to time. With six grandchildren in the family, birthdays are abundant. Sometimes we combine birthday parties, and always have good celebrations over Christmas and the new year holiday.

These family parties are usually held at home in Sagamihara and sometimes in a restaurant chosen by whoever’s birthday we’re celebrating. When it’s at home, it is always a good feast of Japanese and western food. My daughter has perfected her lasagne recipe and everyone looks forward to that, as well as some of the best take out sushi in Sagamihara, always bought at Kakujo Gyorui near Minami Hashimoto Station. Two of the children really like “ TGIFriday’s,” an American restaurant located near Machida Station, so we go there once or twice a year.

My classroom at Smith’s School of English Sagamihara is also my home. I spend 5 days a week there helping my English students get better and more confident with conversational English. They are my “English conversation family;” some having become good friends over my 21 years of teaching here at Smith’s School of English Sagamihara. “ Family” here at my English school, immediate family and grandchildren in Sagamihara, and an excellent job with a good  work/life balance makes for a good life in Japan. Sagamihara is my home.

I am always happy to welcome new English students to this warm classroom located just 3 minutes from Sagamihara Station. English trial lessons are free and easy!
