生駒の水：おいしくて安全！

生駒の水は素晴らしい！私が生駒の水について学んだのは最近です。ここスミス英会話生駒校で生徒様たちとの英会話の中で水について知ったのです。きっかけは健康についての簡単な英会話でした。

スミス英会話生駒校の生徒様の一人が、水を飲み始めたと話しました。彼女は、シンプルな水が一番健康的な飲み物だと言っていました。これは、私たちが数週間にわたって話すことができた素敵な会話のテーマになりました。数週間後、私は彼女にどこで水を手に入れたのか尋ねました。生駒校に通う生徒様の多くはコンビニで水を買っています。

彼女はスーパーマーケットで水を手に入れていると言いました。生駒の多くのスーパーマーケットやドラッグストアには給水機があり、とてもおいしい水を提供しています。スミス英会話生駒校の道を挟んだ向かいにあるスギ薬局では、専用ボトルを購入すれば水は無料のサービスです。私はそこで水を給水することにしました。

しばらく続けていました。その後、生駒駅のすぐそばにベルテラスショッピングセンターがオープンしました。ミスタードーナツの目の前に生駒市が設置した生駒の水飲み場ができたのを見て感心しました。水飲み場の看板には、「おいしい“生駒の水”をぜひご賞味ください」と書いてありました。

それから数週間、英会話レッスンで複数の生徒様とこの話をしました。すると驚いたことに、ボトル入り飲料水に関する新しい記事が出たのです。ボトル入りの水は安全だと宣伝されていることが多いが、実は公共の水道水の方が高い基準の品質を求められていることを、私たちは英会話クラス内で発見しました。私は生駒の水の基準を生駒市のウェブサイトでチェックすることにしました。生駒市が維持している高い基準に感銘を受けました。

そして生駒市が生駒の水道水のために作ったロゴについても知りました：

生駒の茶筅(ちゃせん)で有名な「竹」、「つながり」、「水道水」、そして「エコ」をイメージしているそうです。デザインからこれらイメージがわかると思います。いろいろ調べた結果、生徒様と同じようにシンプルな水を飲み始めることにしました。生駒の水道水です。おいしいし、高い基準の品質の水を飲んでいる安心感があります。

Ikoma Water: Tasty and Super Safe!

Ikoma water is great! I discovered Ikoma water slowly. I discovered the water in conversations with my English students here in Smith’s School of English, Ikoma. You see, it all started with a simple English conversation about health.

One of my English students said that she started drinking water. She said that just plain water was the healthiest drink you can have. This made for a nice conversation thread that we could pick up over the weeks. Several weeks later I was asking her where she got her water. Many of my English students here in Ikoma get their water at convenience stores.

My student said that she got her water from the Supermarket. Many supermarkets and drugstores in Ikoma have water machines that supply water that is quite tasty. This is a free service in Sugi Drugs, which is just across the road from my Smith’s School of English in Ikoma. I decided to get my water there.

That was good for a while. Then the new Belle Terrace Shopping centre opened in Ikoma right beside Ikoma station. I was impressed to see an Ikoma city water fountain there right in front of the Mister Donuts shop. The sign said, “feel free to try delicious Ikoma water from this fountain”.

I spoke about this with several of my students in my English classes over the next few weeks. Then, to my surprise, a new article came out about bottled water. IN our English classes we discovered that often bottled water is touted as being safe when in fact public water meets higher standards. I decided to check the standards of Ikoma water on their site. I was impressed to see the high standards that Ikoma city maintains.

But I also learned about the logo the city made for their water:

The image represents Ikoma’s ‘bamboo‘ (which is famous for Ikoma’s tea whisks), ‘connections‘, ‘tap water‘, and ‘eco‘. You can see all these in the image quite easily. After all this research, I decided to start drinking just water like my student. Just Ikoma tap water. It tastes great and I feel safe drinking water of the highest quality safety standards.
