春の色の訪れ

毎春、スミス英会話甲東園校の玄関先には春の色が訪れます。広範囲にツツジが咲き誇り、玄関前の階段は濃いピンク、薄い紫そして白色で埋まります。生徒様が教室の中に入る前からすでに庭は強い印象を残しています。

Every spring, something wonderful happens right outside the entrance to Smith’s School of English in Kotoen. A large patch of azaleas bursts into bloom, filling the doorstep with deep pinks, soft purples, and bright whites. Before students even step inside, the garden is already making an impression.

Students often mention the flowers when they arrive. “They’re so beautiful today,” someone will say, pausing at the door to take a closer look. It’s one of those small, natural moments that sets a warm tone for the lesson ahead. At Smith’s, we love that English conversation doesn’t have to wait until you sit down — it can start the moment you arrive. A colourful garden turns out to be a surprisingly good conversation partner.

Describing what you see around you is one of the most natural ways to use English. Colours, textures, shapes, and feelings are the building blocks of real conversation.
