ご存知の方もいるかもしれませんが、妻のヨウコと私は日本の花火大会と祭りが大好きです、今年の夏も素晴らしい夏になるでしょう。

大津市の琵琶湖、越前市や敦賀市はとても混雑するので時間に余裕をもって。私たちが一番好きなのは福井県敦賀市のとうろう流しと大花火大会です。観客は敦賀湾のU字型になった海岸からリラックスしながら海の上に打ちあがる巨大な花火を楽しむことができます。ある年、計画をしてスミス英会話甲東園校の生徒様と一緒に行きました。素晴らしい時間を過ごしました。

これに加えて、8月には奈良県の奈良公園で5日（火）から14日（木）までろうそくが美しく灯る燈花会（とうかえ）が行われます。そして、8月16日（土）、京都の五山送り火は混雑が苦手でなければ見逃せません。
この情報をご自身が使いやすいように省略してください。例えば、大きな混雑を避けるために方法として都市部を外れた規模の小さい花火大会に行く。どの場所でも想像するより魅力がありますよ！
時間に余裕を持って、そしてリネンや綿の通気性の高い服を着て行ってください。できるだけ肌を服で覆い、飲み水をたくさん持参して車で行くのも避けましょう。 夏を楽しんで！

We Love Fireworks and Culture Festivals In Japan
Hello everyone! It's Martin!
Some of you may know my wife Yoko and I really enjoy summer festivals in Japan, and this coming season promises to be amazing.
Living in Japan is an incredible experience, especially as an English teacher working with the Smith’s Franchise English School system. My school is in Kotoen. The structured support, professional growth, and vibrant school community make teaching rewarding. Beyond the classroom, Japan’s summer fireworks festivals (hanabi) create magical memories, lighting up the sky with breathtaking displays. The blend of traditional culture and modern convenience makes daily life exciting - whether exploring local "matsuri", savoring delicious cuisine, or forming lifelong friendships.

The Kansai Fireworks Calendar 2025 Has Only Minor Date Changes Year on Year From 2025 ~ 2027
Locals and tourists alike have more choices this summer. It’s good then, that the Kansai Fireworks Calendar 2025 is mostly decided. Without doubt, fireworks festivals in Japan are frequent and wonderful, and it's fun to discuss experiences in class. Many students at my Smith's English School Franchise in Kotoen have noted my summer festival calendars in previous years. Important highlights and some schedule changes are presented here.

PL is cancelled this year.
Otsu Biwako, Echizen and Tsuruga will be very busy so allow lots of time. Our favorite is the Tsuruga Toronagashi Festival in Fukui Prefecture. Spectators can relax on the U-shaped beach surrounding Tsuruga Bay and enjoy the massive fireworks presented over the sea. One year we arranged a trip there together with students from my Smith's School of English in Kotoen. It was a great time.
For the first time some major summer festivals are postponed to September and beyond. These are :

Inagawa is cancelled for 2025.
In addition to all that, August has the beautiful Nara Tokae starting from Tue Aug 5 and the candle festival ends on Thu the 14th. Also, there is the Kyoto Daimonji festival, always on Aug 16th, not to be missed unless you are adverse to crowds.
Reduce this into a workable system for yourself. For example, one great way to avoid large crowds is to target smaller festivals in country towns. These are always more charming than you imagine!
Make sure to allow extra time and dress in light linens and cottons. Cover up as much as possible, bring plenty of drinking water and don’t drive. Enjoy the summer!
