My name is Martin, and I’m the proud operator of Smith’s School of English Kotoen. I’ve lived in Japan for many years, and I’ve attended seven major world expositions around the world. Without question, EXPO 2025 Osaka Kansai is shaping up to be the best one yet.

There are 192 pavilions in total. About one-third require advance booking through a lottery system. The rest are open-entry but can involve long waits. A smart strategy really enhances your experience.
The reservation systems include:
•2-month-prior lottery
•7-day-prior lottery
•3-day-prior slot booking
•On-site booking (highly recommended)
Once you secure your official EXPO entry ticket (issued via a secure digital platform), you can begin applying for pavilion access through these channels.
Easy Access from Kotoen
Living in Nishinomiya makes visiting the EXPO incredibly convenient.
From Kotoen Station, it’s just a 45-minute train and subway ride. A one-way ticket costs only ¥680. Bring sun protection, water, and good walking shoes — and you’re all set for a full day of exploration.
